Otherwise a memory boost last year from 16 to 48 meg has kept this solid system cranking, although a little fat-reduction surgery with Revenge of Mozilla was needed on Windows 98 SE to get it to run smoothly! Exception E Access Violation
All ECC memory does is correct 1 or 2 bit errors without halting the system. On 3 and 4 bit errors, the system is halted and requires a reboot. I wish it were that good. In practise ECC memory detects and corrects Single Bit Failures and can recognize the most Multi Bit Failures ... but not correct them.

[pool] pool allocator: customizing and memory usage
Thanks in advance. Put it like this. With 16meg and a P90, things sometimes comes up fast and other comes up slow. I went from 16meg to 32meg. ie exchange that usually takes about 45sec to come up now comes up in less than 5sec. Yes, with more memory, things will pop up just by clicking on them.

memory problems
I tried all your suggestions and I still get the error message "not enough memory." I did try downloading a program called memory boost and it seemed to work so I thought if I got some more ram it would take care of the problem. The only thing that happened with the increased ram is that the computer is a lot

Looking at the buildd logs: Automatic build of boost_1.34.1-6 on netwinder by sbuild/arm 98 netwinder buildd does not have enough ram build to build large c++ binaries (as g++ memory requirements have been growing a lot), and gcc is not very good at handling OOM, so it just ICEs. boost will be rescheduled to build

If you are using any Os that uses virtual memory and the OS & applications are using at least 16 meg of memory then certainly yes. But thats just being a bit anal retentive. Slap in as much as you can. Upto the limit of the memory the cache can address it will be be fine. After that you get about a 5% (I think)

All very strange, especialy given the stable memory boost I get from doing it all manually in wcpredit (see graph in earlier post). I still get a performance boost from flashing to bios 1004.002, but nothing like the 25% increase in bandwidth I *know* is possible! Cheers, -- -=tril0Byte=-

Accept the library: yes 1) JoaquĆn replies that intermodule_holder performs a way more expensive static initialization process than static_holder (needs shared memory). Another reason for not including this is that Boost.Interprocess (on which intermodule_holder depends) is not universally supported.

Adobe leaves it up to the Windows memory manager to deal with it, swapping out the memory the PhotoShop isn't using when another application needs it. I had a 200 with 16mb, and got a very nice boost with jumps to 32 then 64. Depends entirely on what apps he is running. Win95 by itself, minimal background tasks, and low resource app would run fine with 24mb. Normally 64meg would be considered "minimum" for todays PCs. The memory boost will have a far greater
